【摘要】In September 2005,we will celebrate Dr.C.R.Rao's 85th birthday,Dr.Rao is one of the most famous statisticians in our time.And it is the 120th anniversary of the International Statistical Institute(ISI)in June 2005.For these two celebrations this paper will list the main contributions of Dr.Rao to the statistical development.And then,based on the learning from numbers,the paper will mainly focus on the ideas that emphasized by Dr.C.R.Rao in his book Statistics and Truth:Putting Chance to Work“statistics:an inevitable instrument in search of truth”.
