【摘要】By a multivariate linear regression model,this paper investigates the determinants of concentration in Chinese banking ranged from 1986 to 1996.The empirical result shows that several facts affects the level of the concentration,including the structure of property rights、managing efficiency、initial level of concentration、product differentiation、industry growth and the least economic scale,of which the high efficiency of newly built banks is the most important one.
