【摘要】Environmental education(EE) is taken more and more researchers and educators’ concern. Sustainable development needs all people to contribute their efforts, and one of the important things is to educate people to know what to do and how to do. EE plays an important role in this process, but related studies are still not enough. This paper presents the general outline about environmental education development, identifying the definition and history of EE, analyzing the current situation of EE in China and presenting a reference for future EE development in China.
